Post 4: My favorite TV show

Imagen
Well, I have never liked much television, in fact I do not even have television in my room, we have one in the living room and I use to listen to music or sometimes to watch netlix, what I like about Netflix is that you can choose what you want and pause it when you want. A tv show that I really like is Disenchantment, a cartoon program created by Matt Groening, the same one that created Simpsons and Futurama. The program is about Bean, a princess who lives in a rather stupid medieval society that does not question much about the social structure where they live. His father, King Zog is a lazy king, who doesn't show any feeling and resolves everything by throwing people through an activated hole from his throne. Bean meets Elfo and Luci, who is a little demon and together they decide to try new experiences and travel the kingdom, which offers very interesting and crazy things. Each chapter contributes to the main line but also occur nonsense things that are very funny. Each ...

Post 3: My Best Friend

It is very difficult to choose who's my best friend because I'm more the type of person who has too many friends in different places and I've met them at different stages of my life. Also I don't have any "favourite" or "best" in anything even I can't choose a favourite color hahaha. I could say that a few of them are very important to me cause they represent what I consider to a good person and make me very proud of what they are now. I have friends in many different places and they are my friends from different situations, some of them are from the school, the university or from my neighborhood, and the others I've met them prac ticing Downhill, that is a discipline of the mountain biking that involves practicing only on the mountain and go down as fast as you can through the hill (we have a lot of funy stories). A thing that I would like is to gather them all together because all of them have interesting views of life and we would prob...

Post 1 : A Country i would like to visit

Imagen
For many years I have the desire to visit Germany, the imaginary that I have from this country is an immersive place where you can do many interesting things, visit a lot of places with historical value and learn about their customs or what things they like. One thing that I want to do is to speak with people about local issues like food, music, sports and events about arts or expositions to visit. I hope the next year when I have to do the Architectural practice, apply to Europe and visit Germany, even for a short time will be a great experience. If I were in Germany I would like to visit Berlin and drink a local beer, but I have more interest in other cities in the outside, specially ones with Soviet influence and visit a typical farm. Even though I like this country, I wouldn't live there because they have a long winter and I prefer warm places.

Level 4 semester 2 2019

Blog experience

Imagen
Hello, thats my last blog and I have to recognize that my experience with blogs was been very gratifying, never had one in the past. In this semester I have written about me and my dogs, my interest about architecture, drawing, cities and so many other things that I usually don't write about my life and probably only a few persons know it. Things that I dislike are the continuity between the blogs, sometimes the blog that we have to write the next week don't have the link with the last one, I would like that every blog have been composite like a chapter or a page in a history, so at the end of the semester we build a little fragment about us. Each week I have difficults to write my blog, its a mixture between ideas that I have in mind and how I can express that in a language that I don't have expertise totally, this difficult I see like more a challenge and a didactic form to learn about english, so its very very funny. The next semester I would like keep writing in blo...

Subject you liked

Imagen
Urban design. Today I’m going to talk about a subject that I really love, “Workshop of Architectural Design I". This semester was very useful to my profesional formation, was very long and difficult but it is in the first one that I feel that we are really understanding and visalize issues of the local scene about cities and urban planification. We are co-working with the Lo Espejo municipality and with the MOP (ministry of public works) so this fact are really important when in the workshop we discussed thematics like vulnerability, social risk, connection, mobility, urban support, public space, public buildings and so many others themes to find a real solution in places that have been forgotten. All of this is important and necessary in our dicipline because we must be critical to analyze and proyect cities in the future, including all actors in it, like childrens, old people, womens, workers, students, etc. I feel the compromise with this workshop and with m...

Wood work

Imagen
Hi, I'm going to tell you about woodworking today. Since I was a child I have had an approach to this material, since my father works with it and I have been learning and recognizing its essence, particularities and rules that wood have, in addition to the different species that exist, their smells and textures. Nowadays, at university, we are unusually able to use this beautiful material, since we have been configuring ourselves to certain simplistic methodologies that are looking for excessive productivity, instead of something more elemental such as quality or development. That is why every time I can try to work with it, as it involves more time and more patience, also the characteristic of being able to experience infinite constructive solutions that we can use later in projects. I love wood, and I feel very happy with the university that has a place to work, with many tools and machines in which I can learn more from it.

My favorite piece of technology

Imagen
Laptop. My favorite piece of technology is my laptop, it's a difficult decision, because I usually can not recognize anything as favorite, and even more if it is something technological. I have my notebook for a year and since then the way I work is very different, I can do anything in any place, I can bring it with me wherever I go, but even more important is that I can experiment with different ways to create projects or images, As well as research on referents and be updated day by day with what happens in the world or in the dicipline. My notebook gives me that feeling of independence and proactivity necessary to me, where I can advance my work whenever and wherever I want, and the freedom to expand my knowledge to where I am most interested.

Lina Bo Bardi

Imagen
I want to tell you about Lina Bo Bardi, she was a architect from Italy. She was born in 1914 in Rome and died in 1992. At the beginning she studied in Rome in the 30's, where she installed her office of architecture in the context of the II World War, with this she had few works and disappointed of this, she moves to Brazil with her husband, an art collector called Pietro Maria Bardi. There in Sao Paulo they installed a collection of popular art that was dialogue of the Modern and the Popular. She liked people, so she wanted to make spaces for them, an unfinished space that was activated by common use every day. In 1950 he made his own house, "Glass house", a project that is used as a reference and today can be visited as a museum. In 1957 she realized the project MASP (Museum of arts Sao Paulo) And in 1977 he achieved the cusp with his best work, the SESC Pompeia, using a factory of barrels existing. I like Lina because she it is consistent with Brazil's cult...

Picture

This photo is very special, it was taken when I was 2 or 3 years old, it's funny because when I share this photo with someone, they do not believe me about my curly hair when I was a child, probably because they always remind me with short hair. The photo is from the Christmas period, I really like this month, not because of the Christmas itself, I like because this month we go south to visit my father's family in Los Angeles (VII region) where we all gather to share and spend time together. In these days I missed those meetings because I can not always go and my cousins too. From the family of my father we are the only that lives in Santiago, so when we go my uncle "moncho" does a insane roast where we all laugh and remember times like this photo.

The family

Imagen
I always loved animals, when I was 13, my mom gave me a little hamster called bicho, he was very elusive and sometimes we did not know where he was for a week ... or more. I liked to play with him every day when I came home from school. A few years later a baby dog came to our house, we called it chofa and the chaos began, she destroyed everything in her step including the sofa and my favorite jacket. When we moved to the new house one day a large dog came into our house, we did not know how, the name "rocky" was on his collar  so we call it that, chofa and rocky became very good friends, both are labrador, She is blonde and he is brown with a large white stain on his chest. In the photo appears chofa with a helmet and a very cool glasses.

Little introduction

Imagen
Hello, my name is Emilio, I was born in Santiago 1993 and this is a small description of me. I lived in Maipú since I was born, but in 2004 I moved with my mother and my sister to Santiago centro, living a new experience, new school, new friends and new ways to discover the city. A few years later I started using my bicycle for everything, like finding different routes and places where I had never been before, building every day a biggest map of were I live,  and I think this fact is the most influential in me in the way I started to see things, the image is a view of santiago in the 30's, view from a corner of Alameda/Vicuña Mackenna.
